Summer Travel Grants

The below information pertains to Summer 2008; check back for updates during the Spring 2009 semester.

The Department has a number of small travel grants available for dissertation research during the summer months. Grants will be in the amount of $2000. One grant will be earmarked for a student doing research in Caribbean or Atlantic history. Students may be at any stage. Please include with your proposal a brief statement indicating whether and when you have previously applied for or had funded trips to collections. Please submit three (hard) copies of your proposal and budget to Marilyn B. Young by February 20. These may be mailed (53 Washington Square South, NYC 10012) or placed in her mailbox in the History Department.
