BA/MA Program in HistoryCurrent CAS students interested in the Accelerated Bachelor's/Master's Program (BA/MA program) typically apply during their junior year. In the graduate portion of the program, they can qualify for a scholarship covering up to 50 percent of the tuition for the master's degree.

Before applying for the BA/MA program, interested students should thoroughly read through the information available online about their program of interest (links above) and then meet with the appropriate faculty member listed above to discuss the curriculum and program requirements. It is recommended that you meet with the faculty member in your field of interest before making an appointment with The Preprofessional Center.
Information about the application process and paper applications can be obtained from The Preprofessional Center, which is located in the Silver Center, Room 901. Interested students should start by consulting the information online on the CAS website. Students should then call 212-998-8160 to make an appointment with Rhiaz Kahn for advisement about the BA/MA program and to discuss the application process.

· 2 Letters of Recommendation
The History department requires that you have a 3.5 college and history GPA to be admitted to the program and that you maintain a 3.5 college and history GPA to remain in the BA/MA program. A GPA above this minimum does not guarantee admission to a BA/MA program in history.
